18 Years
of Sponsorship
of the Black Nazarene Image
here in Houston by Devotees
This part is dedicated to the few devoted Black Nazarene devotees who bravely spent their time and energies in trying to sponsor our Beloved Statue of the Black Nazarene in their homes for a year - The Hermano and Hermana Mayores of the Black Nazarene of Houston.
Since this will be our 18th Anniversary of sponsoring this kind of festivities, it is fitting to acknowledge these people's initiative and became a truly Filipino tradition as what we have embodied in our custom and culture as a devoted Filipino Catholics.
Being the Hermano and Hermana Mayor, it is our task to guide and encourage all members especially the younger generations to follow the tradition of our faithful committment and devotion to attend our First Fridays Devotion Prayers and Mass to the Black Nazarene every month and attend the 9 days Novena Prayers prior to the departure to the incoming patron of the Black Nazarene Statue and also our Feast Day Celebration to culminate the affair and devotion.
